Veloccizzare uTorrent 1.7.7

ciao ragazzi...mi sono appena iscritto....
come da titolo ho intenzione di velocizzare uTorrent
ho una connessione adsl 7 mega
e in media mi scarica a 40/50 kb/s qualkuno conosce un trucco per renderlo + rapido????

Per vedere se la tua configurazione ti permette velocità alte scarica Openoffice in formato torrent http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/
se la velocità è alta allora non dipende dalla configurazione ma dalle fonti da cui stai scaricando i tuoi file che non mandano abbastanza dati.

ti posso solo dire che devi necessariamente impostare un limite di upload intorno all' 80-90% della tua banda di upload totale, fatto questo, se non l'hai già fatto devi sbloccare le porte che ti permettono di scaricare, se hai un rooter con un firewall non sarà cosa facile comunque provaci!, se invece hai il modem alice o un rooter di livello medio basso e comunque senza firewall, dovrebbe bastare dirgli di sbloccare il programma ed il percorso dipende dal sistema operativo!In ogni caso vai nelle impostazioni del firewall e clicka sul tag eccezioni e se non ha la spunta mettila sul programma, se il programma non risulta nell' elenco aggiungilo a mano!

scusa se sono un pò ritardato ma mi rispieghi meglio in che senso devo mettere un limite di upload del 90% rispetto alla banda totale???

se per esempio come me hai l'adsl a 2 mega, di conseguenza hai la banda di upload intorno ai 25 Kbps(che può essere scritto anche Kb/s, non fa differenza), quindi, l' 0ttanta percento di 25 è 20, perciò imposta tra le opzioni del programma, limite upload 20Kbps

io uso azureus e lì si imposta direttamente clickando con il tasto destro sulla velocità di connessione in basso a destra, una volta impostato vedi se ti si velocizza, se no, devi aprire le porte come scritto sopra!

EDIT: ma perché non ti scarichi azureus, è nettamente meglio, ma come si dice inquesti casi: "de gustibus"

non te lo so dire!dovrebbero avertelo detto quando hai attivato l'adsl, se così non è dovresti fare uno speed check, in svariati siti internet c' è la pssibilità di fare questi test, fai una ricerca generica su google o yahoo! e lì dovresti sapere come poter fare per fare

In ogni caso è probabile che la tua banad di upload sia 75 Kbps quindi se la matematica non è un' opinione, sovresti mettere il loimite a 60!!

Fammi sapere come procede e lascia tutto in seed, con questa banda che ti ritrovi farai del bene al P2P!!!anzi se hai delle cose nel pc che pensi valga la pena di condividere con gli altri uppa, più uppi più scaricherai veloce

ho controllato adesso che la velocità di upload con alice 7 mega è di 480 kbps quindi l'80% dovrebbe essere 384....giusto????

ps= mi spieghi cosa significa rimanere in seed???

per quanto riguarda il consiglio di passare ad azareus mi permetto di dissentire tieniti utorrent, i suoi 250Kb di eseguibile e le esigue risorse che richiede

Bly uso uTorrent 1.7.7 da un paio di mesi al massimo (0 da quando ho la ADSL )
Ho una ADSL 512kbit/sec e quindi vado al massimo a 40-50 KB/sec in DL (la notte soltanto)
Tu che banda hai per arrivare a questi livelli di DL che haimostrato nella immagine allegata?

Io posso darti le fondamentali dritte.

Innazitutto devi sapere quale sia la tipologia della tua ADSL e quindi sapere quali siano (in kbit/sec) il Downstream e l'Upstream
Immaginiamo (come del resto fa l'autore del tutorial) che siano 3000 Kbit/sec e 384Kbit/sec.
In questo caso nella pagina di uTorrent che trovi sotto Impostazione /Connessione dovrai porre in
Velocità massima in Upload il numero pari a:
384/10=38,4*0,75%=28,80 e quindi diciamo 29 KB/sec
Il secondo valore (quello che si attiva ponendo il segno di spunta) il valore:
384/10*0,90=34 KB/sec

Il terzo valore sarà invece:
3000/10=300*0,80 = 240 KB/sec

Ecco il tutorial intero ed in inglese cosi come riportato nel link di BlyBly :

Open up µTorrent and go into its Preferences. Get a calculator ( Windows has one built-in ) if you can't do basic math, because you're going to be calculating for the most Optimized Values for your connection by hand. The example we'll use: 3000 kb/s Downstream and 384 kb/s Upstream. Be sure to replace these values with your own download and upload speeds when doing the math. I have selected 3000 / 384 kb/s because it represents most of the standard Cable Connections and to give us a broader spectrum to work with as an example.

Go to:Options / Preferences / Network Options.

---Assumeing you've forwarded your port, look at the Global Maximum Upload Rate. To calculate this value is very simple. Take your maximum upload speed (in this instance 384 kb/s) and divide it by 10. *Note: if you're a high-bandwidth user (>768kb/s), you may substitute 10 with 8.

GMUR: 384 / 10 = 38.4

Use about 75%~85% of this value. If you have a really slow upload speed, 75% is more forgiving, but if you're on a really fast connection, feel free to use a higher percentage, like 85%. Going higher than 90% is not recommend, because this will be too close to your maximum upload speed and will probably choke your bandwidth at some point.

GMUR: 38.4 x .80 (80%) = 30.72
GMUR: 38.4 x .75 (75%) = 28.80

µTorrent only allows you to use whole rounded numbers, so on this ocassion we'll use 30. If you experience some websites that are timing out, or you're having other types of problems ( like difficulty sending e-mails ), feel free to lower this to 28. However, if you're primarily seeding and are barely using the PC for Web browsing, you can safely use 31. for this example, leave it at 30.

Global maximum upload rate (kB/s) = 30

Alternate Upload Rate when not downloading can be selected by you, depending if this applies to you or not. Whatever you're going to do, don't set it higher than 90% of your maximum upload speed.

Global Maximum Download Rate is calculated similarly. Take your maximum download speed (for this example it's 3000 kb/s) and divide it by 10. Note: if you're a high-bandwidth user (>5000 kb/s), feel free to substitute 10 with 8.

GMDR: 3000 / 10 = 300

This time, we're going to use 80%~90% of this value. If you have a really slow download speed, 80% is a bit more forgiving, but if you're on a really fast connection, feel free to use a higher percentage, like 90%. Going higher than 95% is not recommended, because this will be too close to your maximum download speed and will probably choke your bandwidth at some point.

GMDR: 300 x .85 = 255

µTorrent only allows you to use whole rounded numbers, so in this instance use 255. This leaves plenty of download bandwidth to surf the Internet without slowing down. If you think these values are too low for you, experiment with higher numbers and see which ones work best for you. IMPORTANT, unless you have a QoS (Quality of Service) software installed, never leave your download and upload speeds uncapped, this can only result in bad speed and ruin things for everyone on the swarm. Again, these recommendations are simply a guide to find your optimal settings. You are the one who'll ultimately have to determine the best settings for your configuration.

Global maximum download rate (kB/s) = 255

*Again, unless you have a QoS (Quality of Service) software running, never leave your download and upload speeds uncapped.
*Another benefit that seems to be derived using Bandwidth Caps for Client Max Global Limits, (Upstream and Downstream) is less or no interuptions (drops) from your ISP. This also allows you Modem to maintain a more constant bandwidth stream.

Go to: Options / Preferences / Torrent Options.

---Global Maximum Number of Connections. This value is very, very easy to guess. Just take your upload bandwidth in kb/s and put it in there. In this example it's 384 kb/s, so put 384 as the number.

Global maximum number of connections = 384

---Maximum Number of Connected Peers per Torrent. The value that seems to work best, is as follows: Take your upload speed (in this example it's 384 kb/s) and divide it by 8.

MNoCPpT: 384 / 8 = 48
Put that number ( 48 ) in the box next to it.

Maximum number of connected peers per torrent = 48

---Number of Upload Slots per Torrent. This number should obviously never fall below 1...keep that in mind. In case you have a really low or slow upload speed, like 56.3 kb/s (standard dial-up), keep it at 1. However, You could try 2. To calculate this value, you'll need to refer to Network Options in this example. Look at the number you put at your Global Maximum Upload Rate (in Network Options). In this example it was set to 30 and you divide it by 4.

NoUSpT: 30 / 4 = 7.5

For this example, we'll use 7 upload slots per torrent. However, tick (check) Use additional upload slots if upload speed <90%. Just in case someone needs those extra few bits.

Use additional upload slots if upload speed < 90%

---Queue Settings: Here you have two settings that nobody will agree on. However, use common sense when setting these. By uploading pathetic little bits here and there, it's only going to hurt the BitTorrent community even more. So be cautious when downloading (don't try running everything at once) and once you're finished don't forget to seed back to others who also want to enjoy what you've downloaded.

Enable Scraping: regularly checks the health of a torrent (how many seeds/peers there are etc.), suggested enabling it.
